Dove Keeper Character Profile: Jehanne
Jehanne is a nineteen-year-old woman who suffers from amnesia after being ill. Restless and frustrated with the holes in her memory and her war-traumatized father's reticence to tell her what she needs to know, she slips out of the manor against her father's wishes, accepting the consequences, and she befriends Marcy, the executioner's daughter.
She speaks her mind and is quite stubborn; she tends to wear men's clothes and has strange scars on her neck and legs. Though ready to be more independent, she enjoys the luxury of her home and having servants, despite the manor showing its age. She's also amazing at sewing, which surprises both her and the servant, and has strange dreams.
Most of her life is a mystery. What lengths will she go to uncover the truth, and will it endanger what she has now with her father?
